Dr Rhys Ward graduated with BDS from the University of Sheffield in 2017, being awarded the Glaxo Smith-Kline Dental Prize for his outstanding work in Oral Pathology. Rhys has then proceeded to invest significant time and effort into his development, attaining the prestigious Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2019.
The first steps in Rhys’ career have been spent gaining a vast array of experience and tutelage under some of the UKs leading clinicians. This has seen him provide specialist level care in the Restorative Department of the Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth and the Restorative and Oral Surgery Departments of the prestigious Edinburgh Dental Institute.
Rhys has a passion for teaching and has been a Clinical Lecturer and Supervisor for Undergraduate Hygiene and Therapy Students in Edinburgh and was a founding member of the QA Dental Study Club, which regularly hosts seminars for dentists across the Hampshire area. He has also presented work at national conferences and is currently hoping to be published by a national journal.
Rhys is an experienced Invisalign provider and has a particular interest in the provision of minimally invasive, aesthetic dentistry and is currently enrolled on a Diploma in Restorative Aesthetic Dentistry.
When not at work, Rhys can be found either playing rugby, cycling or at the gym. He is also a keen traveller and is hoping to return to Cambodia after the pandemic where he has previously volunteered to provide dental care in some of the poorest areas of the country.
